Mark Penta is the author/illustrator of
Cape Cod Invasion! and a lifelong summer resident of Falmouth Heights on Cape Cod. A graduate of the University of Hartford Art School, he has taught drawing and cartooning at the Rhode Island School of Design, Dean College, and Mass Bay College. There's a good chance you've had your caricature drawn by Mark: He is one of Boston's busiest caricaturists at private parties and corporate events. Penta's work has appeared in Boston's “Tab” newspapers and Dell Magazine's Alfred Hitchcock and Asimov magazines. He has designed billboard art as well as six book covers for T.M. Murphy's Belltown Mystery Series.
Cape Cod Invasion!, his first picture book, combines his passion for the Cape with his love of science fiction. He currently lives in Framingham, Massachusetts, but as usual, he spends as much time "down the Cape" as as possible!
